Jim Covarrubias Awarded by the Victoria Foundation at the 9th Annual Arizona Higher Education Awards

Jim Covarrubias was awarded the prestigious Professor Alberto "Tito" Rios Outstanding Literary /Arts Award from the Pete C. Garcia Victoria Foundation at the 9th Annual Arizona Higher Education Awards breakfast at the Arizona Biltmore - Grand Ballroom on Sept. 5th, 2017.

About The Victoria Foundation 

The Victoria Foundation is proud to create the first Community Development Foundation to focus on the Latina/Latino Community, providing micro-grants to local organizations that improve the status of Latinos in Arizona through:

  • Affordable Housing / Economic Development

  • Education / Scholarships

  • Arts & Culture

  • International Exchange / Faith Based Activities

As well as other programs including:

  • The development of the first ever Latino non-profit incubator.

  • An array of Donor-Advised Funds targeting the Latino Community as a means of increasing Latino Philanthropy.
